Fanatic´s Leon Jamaer just spent two weeks on Sal without scoring a single decent windsurf session. For the day he had to leave a big swell was forecasted so he went to the beach before sunrise. The swell wasnt that clean and hitted mostly the outside point and the shorebreak without forming a proper shoulder. It took a couple of hours until the wind filled in just a little, but then it was pretty big!

Leon:
"I didnt think I had good chances to make it through the shorebreak but somehow made it to the outside. What followed was a bit more than an hour Ponta Preta for only couple of surfers and me. I only could catch a handful of waves before had to leave the water, get all my gear in a taxi and head to the airport. A few waves that made my day and the trip."
